Week 4 Movie Angles
The Benchwarmers (2006) I chose The Benchwarmers because it is one of my favorite movies that is full of comedy and is, in my opinion, a go-to movie. The first shot that I decided to comment on was during the first third of the movie and takes place while the Benchwarmers were challenged to a game of hot potato. The characters during this time were trying to improve there ability to play baseball. This shot is not quite a choker but instead a low angle shot that shows Clark holding the hot potato. This shot shows a realization on Clark's face and gives the audience a bit of humor. Clark had no idea what "hot potato" was and so he was extremely confused when an intense pain came rushing to his hand. This shot also gives you an idea of the intelligence behind this particular character, which becomes especially obvious after this scene.
