Initial Storyboard

My group consists of Kevin, Trejo, and Israel. The drawings were made by me, Kevin, and Israel, as Trejo wrote all the descriptions containing camera angles and the setting. 

The story board follows a D1 student athlete. The first scene will be shot as an establishing shot, showing the location and main characters. From there the film moves to the classroom where the character is getting his education and then to the field where he practices. After his day, he works his way to Edison to get some recovery work done and then the character's new journey begins as he commits on national tv and starts his journey at the college of his choosing.

 This shot represents the main character, Brett, signing to Blackfoot University to play D1 baseball. This was a basic shot that we filmed in the auditorium because that is the known place for student athletes to sign. As Trejo filmed and I acted as the signee, we filmed the short clip that shows my high school journey coming to an end. The biggest challenge we had during this shot was coming up with dialogue that sounded normal and not forcing something that isn't realistic. We also had to deal with darker lighting which also made it a bit more challenging.

Editing pt.1

photos of the computer/phone screen during editing (at least 3 each week) After the filming was finished, Israel got to editing it all. Israel role in the movie opener was strictly editing as this was one of the most crucial stages in the assignment. Israel spent around 2-3 hours, seen in the first picture, editing and organizing the footage filmed. His editing consisted of adding music, sound effects, subtitles, transitions which really brought the movie opener together. In the second picture, you can see the editing platform Israel used as well as what he was working with in terms of what he could have changed in the film. Israel used the Verdana typeface for the film's intro and he also used Verdana and Tw Cen MT condensed for the texts later in the film. We could have used more clips to help bring the film opener together but this was a good starting point and it can definitely be improved upon.
